Johnny Michael Ferguson, 57, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice House.
Born August 1, 1968, in Iredell County, Johnny was a proud serviceman who honorably served his country as a combat medic in the United States Army. He was an all-American man whose life was centered on God, country, and family. Known to many as an old soul, Johnny found peace in the simple things—spending time by the river fishing for rainbow trout and collecting baseball cards. He carried a quiet strength and a deep appreciation for life’s meaningful moments.
After many years of searching, Johnny found his soulmate, Pamela Ferguson. Their faithfulness and devotion to one another stood as a true testament to the meaning of marriage and lifelong commitment.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, Charles Robert Ferguson Jr.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pamela Ferguson; his daughters, Alicia Hedrick (Matt), Brytani Birchfield (T.D.), and a daughter by choice, Hannah Martin; his grandchildren, Kinley Scott Ferguson, Elliot James Hedrick, Nolan Wayne Hedrick, Vessel Lee Ryan Birchfield, and a very anticipated first granddaughter, Lorna McLendon; his brother in arms, Ron Ron Cranfield his mother, Erma Nell Webb Mathis; his brother, Robert Ferguson; his sister, Beverly Brown (David).
A memorial service honoring Johnny’s life will be held Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 5th, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home, located at 301 North Main Street, Lexington, North Carolina.
