Johnny (Flash) Michael Gordon,63, of Clark Rd., Lexington, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 in Rowan Regional Hospital after declining health The funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006 at Lakeview Baptist Church, by Rev. Edward M. Pigg and Rev. David Wooten. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. Mr. Gordon was born October 25, 1942 in Davidson County to Willard Roy Gordon and Madge Kennedy Gordon. He attended Ledford High School and retired from PPG Industries after 30 years of service in July 2000 due to declining health. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Terry Max Gordon. Surviving to cherish his memories are his wife of 37 years, Marian Ribelin Gordon of the home, his son, Michael Shane Gordon of Thomasville, his adopted granddaughter, Amber Cushman of Linwood; his brothers: Fredrick Deaton of California and Dexter Gordon of Virginia; his sisters: Mickie Ridge of Lake Norman, and Calinda Sumerow of Thomasville; two special sister-in-laws, Mildred Rabon, and Joyce Stout, both of Linwood; and special nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 TO 8:00 Monday at DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME and other times at the home.
