Johnny Ray Kennedy

Johnny Ray Kennedy, 57, of Fair Street, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at his home. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Monday September 6, 2010 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will be 2:00 pm Tuesday in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Monday prior to the service and other times at the home. Mr. Kennedy was born June 19, 1953, in Davidson County, to Rev. Sylvanus Stall Kennedy and Rachael Lanning Kennedy. He was formerly employed as a welder at Proctor & Schwartz prior to his disability. He was preceded in death by his father. Surviving are his companion, Geraldine Thomason of the home; his mother of Lexington; brothers, Lindsey Kennedy and wife, Girley, and Ricky Lynn Kennedy, all of Lexington; and sister, Kathey Kennedy Wood and husband, David Lee, of Lexington. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
