Johnny William Stewart Sr.

Johnny William Stewart Sr., 83, of Linwood, passed away March 27, 2022, at his home in Linwood.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Richard Johnson officiating, and burial will follow in the Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday Night at the funeral home, and other times at the home on Old Westley Chapel Rd., Linwood.

Johnny was born September 5, 1938, to John Giles Stewart and Willie Mae Lakey Stewart. His passion was riding his Harley & flying his ultralight plane. He had a love for fast cars and boats. He loved animals and riding horses. He lived his life to the fullest and he graduated from Churchland High School. Johnny was a loving companion, father, and grandfather, who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Giles Stewart, and a sister, Betty Joe Stewart.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving companion of 19 years, Sheila Goodman of the home; son, John William Stewart Jr., and wife Beth, of Linwood; daughter, Jo Anna Stewart Moseley, and husband Gary of Cleveland NC; sons, John Todd Stewart, and wife Amy, of Linwood; Robbie William Stewart and wife Cheri of Coolemee; bonus daughter, Kirby Dianne Lopp of Linwood. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
