Johnny Watson

John “Johnny” Watson, 79, of Arbor Drive in Lexington passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, October 26 at Reeds Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Watterson officiating.  Burial will follow at Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery.  Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6-8 pm on Thursday, October 25 at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

John was born in Watagua County, NC on August 24, 1939 to Vandell Watson and Rose Mary Miller Watson.  He previously worked for McCormick Company of Baltimore, Maryland.  Johnny proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of Reeds Baptist Church.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Benny Watson and his wife, (Roxyanne), and Jerry Dean Watson; and sister, Ann Marie Parson and her husband, (Charles).

Surviving is his loving wife, Linda Gail Osment Watson, of the home; sons, John Jay Watson (Michele) and Earl Lee Watson, both of Lexington; brother, James A. Watson and brother-in-law, Wes Osment; sister, Linda Gardner (Richard); and 2 grandchildren, Jonathan Taylor Watson and Emily Grace Watson.
