Jonathan Carlos Grooms

Jonathan “Carlos” Grooms, 33, of Lexington, passed away, Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Monday, June 22, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. There will be no formal memorial service held at this time.

A native of Forsyth County, he was born on January 26, 1993. He was the son of Larry Grooms and Debbie Grooms. He was a graduate of North Davidson High School, class of 2012. Carlos was a genuine and kindhearted soul. He would go out of his way to do anything for anyone. His family was everything to him. Carlos enjoyed sports, fishing, hunting, and grilling out with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Grooms.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Emily Love Grooms; daughter, Peyton Grooms; sons, Ayden Grooms and Jordan Grooms; mother, Debbie Grooms; grandmother, Nancy Lyda; brothers, Shannon Outlaw, Mark Grooms, Ricky Grooms; sisters, Laura Zimmerman, Carrie Grooms, Tiffany Grooms, Anjuli Brewer, and Deanna Grooms; and numerous extended family members and friends.
