Jonnie Michael Kinney 76, of Queens Dr. died Tuesday at her home.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Rev. Myra Ward, burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Kinney was born in Davidson County on August 15, 1930, to Ernest Ervin Michael and Vallie Savannah Yarbrough Michael. She was retired from Cargo Carriers as a bookkeeper. She married Willie Robert “Bill” Kinney who preceded her in death April 6, 2003. Also preceding her in death are brothers, Rayvon Michael and Connie Michael.
Surviving are son, Michael Kinney and wife, Robin, of Wilmington; daughter, Belinda Kinney Moody and husband, David, of Lexington; brothers, Roy Michael and wife, Lucille, of Lexington, and Jimmie Michael of Dunn Loring, VA; sisters, Louise Smith and husband, John, Polly Regan, all of Lexington, and Geraldine Eastham of Concord; grandchildren, Kristen Kinney, Evan Kinney, Galen Kinney, all of Wilmington, Kailey Moody, Joshua Moody, Kevin Moody and wife, Tiffany, and Wendi Story and husband, Jon, all of Lexington; and great-grandchildren, Alisha Moody and Christian Moody, both of Lexington.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of the daughter, 406 Queens Drive, Lexington.
