Jose Martinez

Jose Juan Martinez, 45, of Lexington passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, October 14, 2021, in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home.

Mr. Martinez was born in Mexico City, Mexico on July 24, 1976 to Jose Maria Martinez and Gabriella Herrea Balbuena. He was a self-employed fence installer and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose memory will be cherished forevermore. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Cassandra Wames Martinez; two sons, Cody Herring, and Chris France (Candice); his father, Jose Maria Martinez; three sisters, Micaela Martinez (Ricardo), Anna Martinez (Carlos), and Esmeralda Martinez (Jose); his sister-in-law, Dawn Garcia; his mother and father-in-law, Eugenia Stiltner (Lacy) and Raymond Wames; and his grandchildren, Bentley, Harper, Connor, and Weslyn Herring, August France, and one on the way.
