Joseph "Bud" Edgar Shew, Jr.

Joseph “Bud” Edgar Shew, Jr, 81, of Lexington passed away on Thursday, September 02, 2021, in the arms of his loving companion, Terry.

The family will receive friends from 3 pm until 5 pm on Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mr. Shew was born in Yadkin County on July 17, 1940, to Joseph Edgar Shew, Sr. and Ethel Laura Reese Shew. He was a retired truck driver and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Shew was a loving companion, father, and uncle whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Wayne Shew; two sisters, Judy Jones, and Penny Stokley; and a niece, Susan Justice.

Left to cherish his memory are his companion and caretaker, Terry Shew; his children, Carlette Summers (Chad), and Kevin Wagner (Heather); his nephews, Gary Leonard (Tracie), and Joe Leonard, Jr. (Debbie), and a niece, Cindy Raymer.
