Joseph Clayton Burney

Joseph Clayton Burney, age 69, of Winston-Salem passed away Monday evening, September 23, 2019.

A 2:00 pm graveside service for the family will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. There will be no formal visitation.

Joseph was born in Bladen County on November 22, 1949 to Evelyn Juanita Burney. He was a former millwright with Local Union 312. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Ones left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Lana Panico (Vincent) of Kernersville, NC; and Amelia Monroe (Scott) of Leland, NC; the mother of his children, Gerotha Scott Burney of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren: Kaden Panico, Conner Panico, Cora Panico, Lauren Monroe and Jacob Monroe; and his sister, Carleen Burney (Russell Mosley) of Rocky Mount, NC.
