Joseph Taylor Glosson, 37, of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, unexpectedly at home.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington. In keeping with Taylor’s personality and love for sports, the family asks that everyone dress casually and wear their Tar Heels gear or their favorite team’s apparel.
Taylor was born in Davidson County on September 10, 1988, to Joseph Clifton Glosson and Kimberly Heitman Walker (Chad). Taylor was an avid sports fan, especially cheering on the Carolina Tar Heels and the Oakland Raiders. He enjoyed fishing and golf, gaming and music, and had a deep love for animals, particularly dogs. Taylor was known for his kind heart and generous spirit. He was a respected team leader in his workplace at Publix, where he consistently looked out for others and went out of his way to help his coworkers. His loyalty, humor, and genuine care for people made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Buddy Heitman and Sandra “Sam” Glosson.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Cliff Glosson and Kim Walker (Chad); his sisters, Katelyn Brown (Ben) and Madison Prevette (Justin); his grandmother, Brenda Heitman (also known as Nanny); a special niece and nephew; special aunts; special cousins; and many special friends and coworkers.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice, or in a way Taylor would have loved—treat yourself to Chick-fil-A and enjoy a ballgame in his memory.
