Joseph (Joey) Allen Hunt Jr

Joseph (Joey) Allen Hunt Jr., 71, of Kernersville, passed away December 5, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Center Hill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Brian Alexander and Sandy Young officiating the service. The family will receive friends following the service in the church.

Mr. Hunt was born March 30, 1951, in Davidson County, to Joseph (Joe) Allen Hunt Sr., and Betty Sue Weaver Hunt. He was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Oakridge NC and was owner and operator of Hunt Trucking. He graduated from Central High School and had worked in the family business as a meat cutter with Hunt Supermarket. Joey in his spare time love to read especially his bible, He was a loving husband, Uncle, and friend who will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Hunt, and his sister, Susan Cassidy, and a nephew, Eddie Hunt Jr.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Pam Mitchell Hunt of the home, his stepsons, Zachary Teague of Kernersville; Bradley Teague of Washington, D.C.; his stepdaughter, Traci Chisholm of Thomasville; also surviving are his nieces, Melissa Hollman, Jamie Hollman, Lacee Nichols and husband Jack, and his nephew, Braxton Hunt, and several great nieces and nephews, and his comfort dog, Jack
