Joseph Ray White

Joseph Ray White, 74, of Old Linwood Road, died Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Hinkle Hospice House.  The funeral will be 4 p.m. Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Mr. White was born August 26, 1942, in Logan, WV, to Doc White and Katherine White Butcher. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church and a retired truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.  Surviving are his four daughters, Shereen Jordan, Patricia Busser of Cleveland, OH, Vinnie (Sam) Acord of Parma, OH and Alison Klimanskis of Raleigh; a son, Bernard White of Lexington; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry, Shorty and Lonnie White, all of West Virginia; one sister, Mill Blevins; and a host of friends and relatives.  Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
