Josephine Pruitt Trammell

Josephine Pruitt Trammell, 87, of Davidson County, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Pine Ridge in Thomasville.

The family are receiving guests for fellowship at the home of Josephine's daughter, Tina Koonts.

Josephine was born on February 26, 1938, in Pennsylvania County, VA, to the late Robert Lee Pruitt and Essie Jane Reynolds Pruitt. She worked for many years until her retirement from Duracell.

She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as reading, working jigsaw puzzles, and listening to gospel music. Her greatest joy was her family, and she relished the time spent with her grandchildren, whether it was for the holidays, family dinners, or just random get-togethers.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Ernest Trammell Sr; daughter Gail Shaw; and a host of brothers and sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Tina Koonts (Jake), Tammy Trammell (Robert), Junior Trammell (Kim), and Jimmy Franklin (Zoorene); sister, Iva Eanes; grandchildren, Cynthia Darnell (Shane), Emily Trammell (Austin), Amber Loughlin (Kris), Perry Franklin (Heather); and great grandchildren, Paislee, Rylan, Lydia, Isaac, Amelia, and Waylon.
