Joshua Lee Beeker

Joshua Lee Beeker, 40, of Glendale Road, died Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Wake Forest Baptist Health - Lexington Medical Center.  The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2014, at Jersey Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Durham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service and other times at the home of his grandparents on Glendale Road.  Mr. Beeker was born March 27, 1974, in Rowan County, to George Michael Beeker and Robin Everhart Beeker. He was a graduate of University North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Hartford County Community College in Maryland, and a nurse at University of Maryland Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kelin and Margie Everhart.   Surviving in addition to his parents of Sanford are his sons, Joshua Michael Beeker and George Michael Beeker of Bel Air, Maryland; sister, Joy Beeker Dalrymple and husband William of Sanford; grandparents, George and Margaret Beeker of Lexington; nephew, Trip Dalrymple of Sanford; special aunt and uncle, Judy Wimmer and husband Gerald and their family of Lexington.  Memorials may be made to Davidson County Cancer Services, 25 W. 6th Avenue, Lexington, NC 27292.
