Joy Guy

Our loving mother Joy Norris Guy, 84, formerly of Lexington, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Salisbury Center in Salisbury where she was a resident. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday at the Lexington City Cemetery with Preacher Clyde Akers conducting services. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the home of the daughter at 216 Kaye Drive Lexington. Mrs. Guy was born June 23, 1935 in Watagua County to Russell Norris and Cannie Andes Norris. She was a homemaker, a wife and a loving mother. Joy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Warren Oliver Guy, and four brothers, Henry, Gilbert, Forster and Quincy.Surviving is two sons, Eddie Guy and wife, Dona, of China Grove and Terry Guy of Lexington; one daughter, Debbie Cooper, and husband, Andy, of Lexington; 5 granchildren, Josh Guy and wife, Angel, Leslie Anne and husband, Tim Hawley, Andrew Joe Cooper and wife, Christy, Terri Hanna and Joe Poe and wife, Victoria, and also 10 great-grandchildren, Jance Guy, Brooklyn Guy, Taylor Hawley, Dakota Cooper, Brianna Cooper, Anna Poe, Conner Poe, and Gabriel, Kadin Chirstianson and Emma Kirk.
