Joy Lackey Sink

Joy Lackey Sink, age 65 of Winston Salem passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Duke Medical Center, Durham, NC. A graveside service will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 at 11:00 AM at New Salem Presbyterian Church 4415 Old Mountain Rd. Stony Point, NC 28678 with Pastor Michael Gates officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel. Joy was born February 1, 1951 in Alexander County to Jacob (JM) Moser Lackey and Hazel Barnes Lackey. She was a member of New Salem Presbyterian Church, Stony Point, NC and retired teacher of 24 years at North Davidson High School with Davidson County School System. She was preceded in death by her father. Surviving are her husband of 45 years Ronald Graye Sink of the home, son; Scott (JD) Sink ( Debbie) of Stony Point, NC, daughter; Sissy Rausch (Todd) of Midway, her mother; of Stony Point, NC, sister; Lynne Hood (George) of Watkinsville, GA, grandchildren; Risa, Kyle, Austin, Mason, Riley and Tyler. Flowers will be appreciated, or donations to your local animal shelter or rescue center. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
