Joyce Hill Lucas

Joyce Hill Lucas, 88, of Kentwood Lane Lexington, died Thursday January 11, 2018 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.   A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Lexington City Cemetery with Rev. Frankie Matthews officiating services.   There will be no formal visitation.   Mrs. Lucas was born in Davidson County to Edward Hill and Gladys Kearns Hill.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Charles Edwin Lucas, a brother Johnny Hill and a sister Lorene Crotts.   Surviving is a daughter, Ava Joyce Michael and husband Richard;  a granddaughter Jennifer Tucker; a sister Joy Everhart; step brother Joe Morris and wife Charlene, and a step sister Sue Bowman and husband Woody.    Memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County 202 Hospice Way Lexington, NC 27292 or Sheets Memorial Baptist Church 307 Holt Street Lexington NC 27292.
