Joyce Owens

Thelma Joyce Stanford Owens, age 87 of Lexington passed away Saturday January 9, 2021 at her home. The family will celebrate her life privately.

Mrs. Owens was born December 7, 1933 in Davidson County to Marion Edwin Stanford and Rosa Harold Padgett Stanford. She retired from Duracell. Her husband, Bobby Edward Owens, her brothers, Tommy Stanford and Millard Stanford and sisters, Helen Stamey, Margaret Egelnick, Velma Winn and Rachel Everhart all preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by a grandaughter,Tiffany Stanford.

Surviving are her children: Tony Owens and David Owens, Bobbi Jo Coble (Chris)  all of Lexington and Robin “Penni” Lynch (Marvlet) “June” of Rocky Mount. Also surviving are a brother, Harold Stanford (Judith) of Nevada. Her feline companion, Smoky. Four Grandchildren,Paul, Deanna, (Donzell), Seth and Katie (Tim) . Four great grandchildren, Jessica,Tyler,Luke and Emi. Two great great grandchildren, Asia Marie and A.J.
