Joyce Pardue

Joyce Corder Pardue, age 63 of Lexington passed away Tuesday night at Forsyth Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 4 pm Thursday at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Michael officiating. Burial will be private at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Joyce was born in Surry County, NC April 08, 1945 to Kermit Henry Corder and Roxie Berniece McCoin Corder. She was a homemaker and a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Colonel Sherman Pardue March 5, 2007. Surviving are; one daughter; Amanda Pardue and husband Johnny of Lexington, two grandchildren; Chelsea Pardue and Joshua Pardue and fiancée Jennifer Starnes and one great-grandchild; Montana all of Lexington, two sisters; Sally Jo Wyatt and Emelene Everidge both of Elkin, NC and several nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
