WELCOME - Joyce Lee Poteat, 57, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born June 15, 1948, to the late Walter and Lucille Broxson of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ray Poteat Sr., on Jan. 11, 2006.
Surviving are her children, Larry Ray Poteat Jr. and wife April of Winston-Salem; daughter Angie P. Pendergrass and husband Jason of Clemmons; five grandchildren; a sister, Paulette Corona, of Arizona; two brothers, Mike Broxson of Oregon and Donnie Broxson of Florida; three sisters-in-law, Jean P. Selph (Jerry) of Winston-Salem, Camey P. Whitaker (Jim) of Clemmons, Teresa P. Smith (Jerry) of Winston-Salem; brother-in-law Lewis Poteat (Jean) of California; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, April 14, at Davidson Funeral Home - Hickory Tree Chapel. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Winston-Salem, with the Rev. Andy Lambert officiating.
