Joyce Ann Mcleod Weaver

Joyce Ann McLeod Weaver, 78, of Lexington, Passed away January 28, 2022, at her home in Lexington.

A celebration of her life will be Private at Second Reformed United Church of Christ where she was a member, with the Revs. Jim Luck and Paula Wells officiating the service.

Joyce was born August 3, 1943, in Davidson County, to Cossie McKee McLeod and Estelle Younts McLeod. Joyce was a devoted member of the church and Sunday school teacher, having retired from the Dispatch as the family life editor. Her passion was her faith, church, family and especially her sisters, and nephews and nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. Joyce was a loving wife, aunt, great aunt, sister, who will be missed by all. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald “Ronnie” Eugene Weaver who died April 21, 2016.

Left to cherish her memories are her sisters, Sheila Ramsey and husband Tom, of Lexington; Cathy Hill of Winston Salem; nephews, Brian Weaver and wife Carolyn, Matthew Hill and wife Nina, John Hill and wife Jessica, Jeff Nance, Chris Duffey and wife Meredith; nieces, Wende Rabon, Lori King husband Phillip, Tara Skelton and husband Lenny, Susann Tucker and husband Kevin, and Lisa Doran and husband Jim; also surviving are numerous great nephews and great nieces.
