Juanita Stokes Everette Beck

Juanita Stokes Everette Beck, 85, of Old Linwood Road, died Friday, August 28, 2009, at Hospice Home of High Point. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Greene officiating. Entombment will be at a later date at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Beck was born March 8, 1924, in Edgecomb County, NC, to Guy Hamilton Stokes and Martha Ann McLawhorn Stokes. She was a former employee at Dixie Furniture and Wennonah Cotton Mill. Mrs. Beck was of the Morman faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Beck; sister, Mary O’Neal Stokes Tripp; six brothers, Thadeus, Alva, Henry, Woodrow, Grover, and Floyd Stokes. Surviving are a son, Ronald Martin Everett and wife, Geraldine, of Lexington; grandchildren, Tammy Everette Haltom and Marty Everette Jr.; great-grandchildren, Johnathan Everette, Dustin Everette, Aaron Haltom and Andrew Haltom; a sister, Nina Bell Stokes Bass of Lexington; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of High Point, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
