Juanita Johnson Burkhart

Juanita Johnson Burkhart, 80, of Hammond Road, died Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Thomasville Medical Center. A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Johnsontown United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Retired Pastor Don Wagner officiating. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service and other times at the home. Mrs. Burkhart was born May 24, 1933, in Davidson County, to Niven Johnson and Mamie Coggins Johnson. She was retired from Carolina Underwear after 43 years of service and attended Westside Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by sons, James Randall Burkhart and Jeffrey Burkhart; and sister, Dorothy J. Wagner. Surviving are son, Stan Burkhart of Lexington; granddaughter, Tesla Burkhart of the home; and sisters, Aileen J. Meredith of Midway and Lynda Stephens and husband James of Thomasville.
