Juanita Wooten

Juanita Setser Wooten, 86, of Mageo Drive, died Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte after several years of declining health. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Lexington, where she was a member, by Dr. Ray Howell III and the Rev. Tommy Wilson. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Wooten was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Caldwell County to Russell J. Setser and Mae Farthing Setser. She was a retired accountant for Leslie O. Wooten Accounting and a homemaker. Mrs. Wooten was very active in her church and was a member of the Davidson County Senior Chorus and the Davidson County Senior Line Dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie O. Wooten, who died July 16, 1994. Surviving are a son, Allen Wooten of Huntsville, Ala.; a daughter, Anne Wooten of Charlotte; a brother, James R. Setser of Winston-Salem; a sister, Willie Mae Geer of Charlotte; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home.
