Judy was born December 8, 1939 to Horace and Mary Link of Lenoir, NC. She graduated from Hudson High School. She worked at Kent Coffey Company in Lenoir and retired from the City of Winston-Salem Purchasing Department.
She was a faithful, lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She knew how to make all holidays and celebrations extra special. She loved her granddaughters, Ivey and Victoria, going on trips with her four sisters, and eating something sweet, especially chocolate.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Kenneth; her brothers, Gary and Vance Link; and her sisters, Marjean McMillan and Sonya Hunter.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Leslye Haynes (Dion) and Sonya Drum; her two granddaughters, Ivey Haynes (Derrick), and Victoria Haynes (Evan); and her great granddaughter, Wren Morgan. She is also lovingly remembered by her brother, Robert Link (Jimmie); her sisters, MaryJo Herman and TommieAnn Hall (Keith); and several nieces and nephews.
Our family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Horizons Memory Care Unit of Mallard Ridge Assisted Living and the staff of the Hinkle Hospice House. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Hospice of Davidson County or Mt. Olivet UMC. Davidson Funeral Home Lexington Chapel will be serving the family.
