Judy Gayle Johnson

Ms. Judy Gayle Johnson, 78, died Thursday, April 30, 2026, at her home.

The family will conduct a private memorial service at a later date.

She was born on March 20, 1948, in Forsyth County, to the late William Clemon Johnson, Jr. and Margaret Elizabeth Link Johnson.

Ms. Johnson worked in childcare for many years and loved children dearly. She was always very supportive, nurturing, and caring. To know Ms. Judy was to love her.  She was a religious woman who enjoyed traveling and telling the stories about her travels. She especially enjoyed visiting the beach, music, and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery K. Johnson.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jennifer Barlow and Jody Koontz (Aaron); and grandchildren, Hayley Barlow, Hannah Berrier (Donovan), Nicholas Long (Brenna), and Aidan Koontz.
