Judy Hedrick Lanier, 83, of Lexington, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Hinkle Hospice House.

A private graveside service was held at Forest Hill Memorial Park.

Judy was born December 8, 1942, in Davidson County to William Allen Hedrick and Edith Crotts Hedrick.  She Graduated from Central Davidson High School, where she was a cheerleader.  She attended Davidson County Community College, UNC-Chapel Hill and graduated from UNC-Charlotte with a master’s degree in counseling.  She worked as a counselor for Davidson County Social Services, Davidson County Schools and was owner of Professional Counseling.  Judy was co-owner of Leonard Craver Realty, Inc. and a longtime real estate broker.  She held her GRI designation and was a member of the Lexington-Davidson Chapter of the Winston-Salem Regional Association of REALTORS®, The North Carolina Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. She was known for her dedication to her clients and her profession.  She was fondly called Mama Juju or Juju by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many others.

She is survived by her husband, Gail Stanley Lanier of the home; her daughter, Natalie Lanier Taylor and husband, Greg; her sons, Stanley Lanier and wife, Molly, and Stewart Lanier and wife, Sheri; her sister, Cornelia Conrad; her brother, Allen Hedrick; her grandchildren, Abigail Taylor Mervar and husband Clay, Grayson Taylor and wife, Lauren, Ali Lanier Parks and husband, Nathan, Tate Lanier, Keilea Lanier Michael and husband, Zach, Holden Lanier and wife, Abby, Mya Lanier, and Mason Lanier; and her great-grandchildren, Ridge Mervar, Crew Mervar, Tait Taylor and Ellery Michael.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292, Tyro Methodist Church, Family Life Center, 4484 S. NC Hwy 150, Lexington, NC  27295, Freedom Tabernacle Family Worship Center, PO Box 2054. Lexington, NC  27293-2054
