Judy Carol Cecil Johnson, 70, of Cecil Road, who was a loving wife and mother, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Hinkle Hospice House after an illness of six months.
A funeral will be held at 3 pm Tuesday, November 3, 2015, in Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Stephen Pillsbury officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, November 2, 2015 at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mrs. Johnson was born May 12, 1945, in Forsyth County, to John Robert Cecil and Ruth Thomason Cecil. She was a homemaker and a former Production Operator for PPG. Judy was a graduate of North Davidson High School, and a member of Center United Methodist Church. She enjoyed camping and cooking and won the Energy United Baking contest with her famous Carmel Apple Cake. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Ray Cecil; and a niece, Jodie Miller Helms.
Surviving are her husband of 52 years, Jessie Clifford “J.C.” Johnson of the home; a son, Joey Johnson of Welcome; a daughter, Kathy Tollie (Toney) of Welcome; two brothers, Clinton E. (Pean) Cecil (Betty), Jerry W. (Doc) Cecil (Phyllis) both of Welcome; two sisters, Brenda C. Miller (Jerry), Rita C. Wood (Van) both of Welcome.
