Judy Irene Leonard

Judy “Grammy” Irene Leonard, 70, a resident of Lexington, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at 2:00PM with Pastor Jeff Walser officiating in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. No formal visitation will be held.

Judy was born in Davidson County on October 4, 1950 to the late Ervin and Margaret Leonard. She worked in the Davidson County Community College Bookstore for 30 years. Judy was a loving grandmother who enjoyed knitting and being a therapist for all her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Leonard.

Judy is survived by her son, Ira “Matt” Leonard of Lexington; a daughter, Wendy Orrell (Brian) of Lexington; grandchildren, Tristan and Hannah Leonard; a brother, Jerry C. Leonard (Linda) of Hertford, NC; and a cat, Moonbean.
