Judy Mae Foster Whitehead, 84, of Lexington passed away Monday, December 20, 2021, at her home.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday, December 23, at Davidson Funeral Home with Preacher Clyde Akers and Reverend Dearl Bunce officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Whitehead was born February 23, 1937, in Davie County to Sylvester Byerly Foster and Eunice Mae Cuthrell Foster. She was a member of Coggins Memorial Baptist Church. Most of Judy’s free time was spent with her family, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Jack Dwane Whitehead; and one son, Gary Whitehead.
Surviving is one son, Mark Whitehead (Debbie) of Lexington; one daughter in law, Gayle Whitehead of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Jason Whitehead (Kebie), Christy Akins (Brent), Drake Whitehead, Brianna Whitehead, Billy Weaver (Kelly), Joseph Weaver (Cheyenne), and Kyle Worley; six great-grandchildren, Mazie and Maddox Whitehead, Camden Weaver, Christina Michelle, and Tori Akins; one special cousin, Marlene Benson of Little River; and Marlene’s daughters, Traci Worley and Toni Benson-Powell.
