Julee Umstead Smith

Julee Umstead Smith, 76, of Lexington, NC, passed away at Salisbury Center on May 31, 2020.

A private graveside service will be held at Lexington City Cemetery officiated by Reverend Doug Rowe.

Miss Smith was born in Lexington, NC, on April 16, 1944, to Callie Umstead and Joseph Hill Smith. She grew up in Lexington at 515 Woodlawn Drive. Julee graduated from Lexington Senior High in 1962. After graduation, she attended Guilford College and later worked at Beltone and at Belk at Hanes Mall. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Lexington. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Pamela Tilley.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Brande Hilton Garrison (Troy David Garrison) of Charlotte; her son, Scott Landon Hilton of Lexington; and three grandchildren, Sydney Shea Garrison, Sadie Elyse Garrison, and Corey Scott Hilton.
