Julia Ann Byerly

Julia Ann Byerly, age 75, of Welcome, passed away Saturday April 28, 2018 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.   A graveside service will be held 4pm Monday, April 30 at Beulah United Church of Christ Cemetery, by the Rev. Trudy Irving.   There will be no formal visitation, but friends are invited to the service and then to gather in the church fellowship hall following the service.   Ms. Byerly was born in Wilmington, NC on August 22, 1942 to Julius Crawford Byerly and Doris “Pauline” Yow Byerly. Her passions were gardening, painting, decorating, and teaching her Ladies’ Sunday School class. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  Words from a friend described her well, “She was the epitome of a genteel, lovely lady, kind and gracious always.”   Left to cherish the sweetest memories are her  daughters, Rossalyn Sander (Erik) of Gainesville, FL and Beth Varner (Michael) of Arcadia; and two sons, Ross Hadley of Nokomis, FL and Derek Hadley of the home; one brother, Stephen Byerly (Rosemary) of Inman, SC; seven grandchildren, Kyle, Julia, Ashley, Savannah, Kate, Landon, and Hadley; and one great-grandson, Bennett.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hinkle Hospice House, 202 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292   “Her children rise up and call her blessed..” Proverbs 31:28 GNV
