Julia "Judy" Grayson Gibson

Julia “Judy” Gibson, age 76 of Peachtree Street Lexington passed away Saturday morning January 25, 2020 at her home.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday February 1, 2020 at Second Reformed United Church of Christ with Revs. Jim Luck and Paula Wells officiating. The family will r eceive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.

Judy was born in Davidson County March 31, 1943 to Robert Earl Grayson and Daphne Tucker Grayson. She was a member of Second Reformed United Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Lexington High School and Appalachian State University with a Masters in Education. She was a retired employee of Davidson County Schools having taught at Silver Valley Elementary for 31 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Jenny Gibson Mullins; sisters, Martha Leonard and Becky Patterson; brothers, Robert “Bob” Grayson and Tommy Grayson.

Surviving are her husband, Butch Gibson of the home; daughter, Josie Carys Gibson of the home; sister, Ruthie Toler of Clayton, NC and her Best Friends and caregivers, Tracy House and Rebecca Sink.
