Julia Monica Smith

Julia Manca Smith, of Westover Drive, died Friday, Oct. 20, 2006, at Lexington Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by Father Albert J. Gondek. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was born in Sandegne, Italy, to Antioco Manca and Grazia Lucci Manca. She was a homemaker and a former employee of Erlanger Mills. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elwood Smith, who died in 1972. Surviving are a son, Steve Smith and his wife, Nancy, of Marietta, Ga., and brothers and sisters in Italy. The family will receive friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
