Julie Monk Lopp

Julie Monk Lopp, 62, of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away at her home on Sunday, July 12, 2026.

Born on May 15, 1964, in Davidson County, Julie was the daughter of Daniel Wayne Monk and Nancy Moore Monk.

Julie worked as a waitress at Lexington Barbecue, where she was known for her friendly smile and caring spirit. She enjoyed spending time with her family and treasured every moment with those she loved.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Daniel Matthew Hege of Lexington, Erin Morgan O'Connell of Concord, and Sarah Carter Liebman of Winston-Salem; her brother, Rick Monk (Janet); her sister, Kelly Wright (Keith). She was a devoted “Juju” to her two grandsons Harvey Penn Liebman and Banks Carter Liebman and loved spoiling and spending time with them.

A service to honor Julie's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 20 at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel. Family will greet friends one hour prior at 10:00.
