Julie Martinez

Julie Ann Rouse Martinez, 80, a resident of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2021. Julie was born in Guilford County on March 13, 1941 to the late Frank and Kathleen Rouse. She was a loving mother who adored her children. Julie enjoyed cooking, decorating, and traveling. She was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Douglas Martinez.

Julie is survived by a son, Tino Martinez of Lexington; daughters, Glenda Cortese (Joe) of Flagler Beach, FL, Cathie Faulkner of Greensboro, and Tina Clement (Kim) of Lexington; brothers, Boyd Brown, Jr. of Greensboro and Henry Brown of Burlington; Sisters, Sally Brown and Diana Coble, both of Greensboro; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, July 12, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Crigler officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
