Julie Layman Murphy

Julie Layman Murphy, age 53, of East US Highway 64, Lexington passed away Friday night at Forsyth Medical Center. The family received friends at Davidson Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday night. Julie was born in Davidson County, January 24,1960 to Bill and Florence Everhart Layman. She was employed with First Choice of the Carolinas in High Point. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Don Layman. Surviving are; her daughter, Amanda Jo Murphy of the home; sister, Nancy Jarvis of Lexington; brother, Kenny Layman and wife Shane of Salisbury; nephews, Chuck and Richie Jarvis, Adam Layman, Varney Fahrnbullah and Ishmael Kaidjuway; niece, Salie Kimba; step-son, Marc Murphy partner Lynn; step-grandsons; Drew and Kaden Murphy; mother-in-law, Betty Jo Murphy; her feline friends, Precious, Kittenn, Greta, Josie and Dexter; canine friend, Atlas. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Humane Society of Davidson County, PO Box 1791, Lexington, NC 27293.
