Julius Monroe “Bud” Holshouser, 79, of Hilltop Drive, Linwood, died Monday, April 29, after an extended illness.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, May 1, 2013, at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home.
Mr. Holshouser was born February 11, 1934 in Rowan County to Theodore Maxwell Holshouser and Marie Lefler Holshouser. He was a machinist for Metal Fabrication, and was of the Lutheran faith. He was a US Army Veteran, having served in the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Holshouser.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie Endris Holshouser of the home; two sons, Mark Holshouser and wife, Cindy of Lexington, Paul Holshouser and wife, Beth of Linwood; three daughters, Neena Morgan and husband, Wade of Salisbury, Julia Holshouser of King, Sandy Walker of Lexington;13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and a sister, Frances Webster of Faith
