June Margaret Buchanan

June Margaret Patzsch Buchanan, 95 of Brookstone Retirement Center died Tuesday December 24, 2013 at Brookstone Retirement. A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday December 30, 2013 at Arrington Heights Freewill Baptist Church with Revs. Bradley Testerman, and Doug Mcgee officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday at Davidson Funeral Home and at other times at the home of her grandson, Brian, 227 Thicket Drive, Lexington, NC 27295. Mrs. Buchanan was born in Birmingham, AL on July 19, 1918 to Ralph Patzsch and Mary Ann Hamner Patzsch. She was retired from Greensboro Country Club and a member of Gate City Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth Odell Buchanan, son, Kenneth R. Buchanan, granddaughter Cindy Ray, grandson, Mark Eugene Wunderlich, and son-in-law James “Jimmy” Davis. Surviving are daughters, Patricia Wunderlich (Donald) and Rose Maureen Davis all of Lexington, 8 grandchildren and 20 great–grandchildren and 8 great great-granchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family to off set funeral cost.
