Junior L. Chapman

October 24, 1926 — August 7, 2009

Leeland Lee “Junior” Chapman, age 82 of NC Highway 47, Lexington, passed away Friday morning at Hinkle Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday (8-9-2009)at Beck’s Reformed Church with Rev. Gerald M. Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Beck’s Reformed Church Cemetery. Junior was born in Davidson County, October 24, 1926, to Leeland Lee Chapman, Sr. and Retta Parks Chapman. He was a retired employee of Heckman Furniture and a member of Beck’s Reformed Church. He served his country in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Melvin Chapman. Surviving are; wife, Grace Swing Chapman of the home; son Dean Chapman and wife Toni of Lexington; two grandchildren, Anna Peterson and husband George and Alex Chapman; two sisters, Doris Floyd and Nancy Smith and husband Clyde all of Lexington. The family will receive friends at the Church fellowship hall following the service.
