Kara Chase

Kara Janette Heitman Chase, age 37 of Lexington, passed away on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, May 26th at Wesley Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Barbee officiating.  Visitation with family and friends will be held after the service.

Kara was born on July 9, 1983 in Rowan County to William Edward Heitman and Sherry Swicegood Heitman.  She was employed with Food Lion in Welcome as a cashier and attended Wesley Heights United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents; brothers, Eddie Heitman, Jr. (Tina) of Lexington and Brice Heitman (Lindsay) of Winston-Salem; nephew, Ty Heitman and nieces, Isabel and Leah Heitman.

Kara had a passion for animals and loved her cat, Tiger.
