Karen Frances Flicker, of Beckner Street, Lexington, North Carolina, passed away on October 13, 2026, at the age of 63.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Karen was born on December 14, 1962, in Hudson County, New Jersey, to the late Joseph Frank Flicker and Mary Walliser Flicker. She earned an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and was known for her deep compassion and genuine desire to help others.

Karen had a caring heart and a special love for animals, especially those in need of rescue. Her compassion extended to both people and animals, and she found joy in making a difference in the lives of others. She was also a devoted sports fan, with a particular love for the Dallas Cowboys. Her enthusiasm for sports and her love for those around her were important parts of who she was.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, William Christopher Sungail; her brothers, Joseph Christopher Flicker and wife Rachel, and Steven Erwin Flicker and wife Susan; along with other family members and friends who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.

Karen will be remembered for her kind heart, her compassionate spirit, her love of animals, and her willingness to help those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
