Karen Elizabeth Sides

Karen Elizabeth Sides 27, of Davidson County passed away Friday May 4, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center from injuries she received in a motor vehicle accident. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday May 8, in Davidson Funeral Home Hickory Tree Chapel with the Rev. G. Thomas Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in the Friedberg Moravian Church Graveyard. Karen was born January 29, 1980 . She was the daughter of Twila Dawne Everhart of Davidson County, and Freddy Sides of Forsyth County. She was the Stepdaughter of Darrell Aldridge. She was the granddaughter of the late Barbara and Joe White, Polly Sides Spach and Tony Sides. Karen was a graduate of North Davidson Senior High School and worked for the Four Star Restaurant. She is survived by her parents; sister Summer Sides James and her husband Scott, neice Taylor and nephew Hunter; stepsister Danielle Aldridge Cashion. She is also survived by her Aunt Denise White Huffman, cousins Brandie and Courtney Huffman; aunt Joanne and uncle Mike Collier, cousins Megan and Major Collier; uncle and aunt Joey and Rebecca White and cousins Dustin and Brandon; aunt and uncle Brenda and Stan Koonts, aunt Kathy Sides Tesh and Cousins Boo, and Lenora. She is also survived by her Godmother, Libby Melton, great aunt and uncle Sue and Dennis Ring, her best friend , Misty Reid, and numerous other close and special friends. Karen was an avid Carolina Tarheel Fan. Karen loved people and always had a beautiful smile. She will be missed by many people. The family will see friends at Davidson Funeral Hickory Tree Chapel tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Memorials can be made to the family at 227 Eller Road, Lexington, North Carolina 27295.
