Katherine Owens Lomax Cooper, 90, of Lexington went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 28, 2021, at the Hinkle Hospice House.

A private graveside service will be held at the Lomax Family Cemetery in Churchland.

Mrs. Cooper will lie in state from 4 pm until 5 pm on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Churchland on May 20, 1931, to Frank R. Owens and Della Barnes Owens. She was retired from Duracell and was a member of Meadowview Reformed Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Cooper was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother whose memory will be cherished forevermore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma Smith, Eula Edwards, and Ellen Gobble.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Grant R. Cooper; her children, Larry Lomax (Lauren) of FL, Randy Lomax (Tammy), and Kathy Lomax all of Lexington; a step-daughter, Charlotte Cherry (Ron) of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Todd Lomax, Chad Lomax (Leslie), Ashley Mith (Meth), and Randall Lomax, II (Brandi); two step-grandchildren, Kyle Hickey and Brandi Hickey; seven great-grandchildren, Kodi Lomax, Finn Lomax, Madison Lomax, Molly Lomax, Aaron Lomax, Taylor Brown, and Ryan Mith; step-great-grandchildren, Kellan Hickey, Liam Hickey, Teagan Hickey, John Russ, and Ragan Russ; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other extended family members.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County at 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
