Katherine Byrd Redd age 59 of Welcome passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at The New Mausoleum Chapel of Parklawn Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Katherine was born July 25, 1953 in Augusta County, VA to Paul Joseph Byrd Sr. and Vernia Peters Byrd. She was owner and operator of Anything Fiber Glass. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother; P. J. Byrd, her sister; Sharon Boyles. Surviving are her husband Dennis Gregory Redd of the home, her sons; Tony Dalton of Thomasville, Shann Dalton and wife Tammy of High Point, Greg Redd of Lexington, Len Redd and wife TJ of Lexington, her eight grandchildren; Brittany, Tyler, Haleigh, Madyson, Paige, Ashton, Meghan and Bryce, her sisters; Vivian Jo Carter, Terresa Solomon, Wendy Beaver all of Winston Salem, her daughters of her heart; Traci, Christina, Donna, Karen. Davidson Funeral Home, Hickory Tree Chapel is assisting the family.
