Kathern Peterson Dunning

Kathern Peterson Dunning, 73, of Spains Mill Road, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.   A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Antioch Baptist Church, where she was a charter member, by Preacher Jerry Beck.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.   Mrs. Dunning was born November 29, 1945 in Unicoi County, Tennessee to Neal Peterson and Bertha Honeycutt Peterson. Mrs. Dunning retired from PPG Industries and was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Audi Peterson and Glenn Peterson and one sister, Louise Justice.     Surviving is her daughter, Theresa Owens (Don) of Lexington; a step son, Bill Dunning (Janet) of Lexington; two brothers, S.J. Peterson of Green Mountain NC and Dallas Peterson (Brenda) of S.C.; four grandchildren, Sydnie Beck, Adam Beck (Miranda), Brittany Testerman (Bradley) and Brandon Dunning; and seven great-grandchildren, Brayden Beck, Jace Beck, Kady Gray Testerman, Kameron Testerman, Kali Testerman, Keelyn Testerman and Kendall Testerman.   In lieu of meals to the family, the family has requested memorials be made to the Crisis Ministry of Davidson County, 107 East 1st Ave. Lexington NC 27292, or Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington NC 27292.
