Kathleen Welch Eastep

April 25, 1913 — February 2, 2006

Mary Kathleen Welch Eastep, 92, of Hill Everhart Road, passed away Thursday, Feburary 2, 2006 at Lexington Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Eastep was born on April 25, 1913 in Davidson COunty to Samuel Leroy Welch and Dena Nance Welch. She attended Second United Church of Christ where she was a member, and Grace Missionary Alliance Church. She loved both churches and they were an important part of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Key Eastep who died October 18, 1994; an infant son Tommy Welch, and brothers Herbert Welch and Ray Welch; sisters Joyce Huff and Faye Welch. Surviving are daughters Dena Welch of Midway, Judy Hyatt and husband C.A. of Midway, and Myra Guy and husband Bill of Cramertown; eight grandchildren, Brad Wilkes, Chris Wilkes, Gerry Wilkes, Kyle Wilkes, Craig Hyatt, Kevin Hyatt, Preston Guy and Jennifer Ramsey; sixteen greatgrandchildren, Amber Wilkes, Heather Wilkes, Nathan Wilkes, C.J. Wilkes, Bradley Wilkes, Dylan Wilkes, Colby Hyatt, Caroline Hyatt, Catie Hyatt, Pres Guy, Landon Guy, Strat Guy, Grayson Guy, Tyler Ramsey and Andrew Ramsey; she is also survived by a sister-in-law, Blanche Welch. A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The service will be conducted by Pastor Michael Gates and Pastor Albert Smith. Burial will follow in the Lexington City Cemetery. The family will recieve friends from 12:30 to 1:30PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
