Kathleen Mittie Weaver Harper

Kathleen Mittie Weaver Harper, 94, of Old Highway 64 West, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2006, at Brian Center Nursing Home. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the American Children's Home Chapel by the Rev. Roger Worley. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Mrs. Harper was born March 30, 1911, in Davie County to Charles Edward Weaver and Blanche Lloyd Weaver. She was a former employee of Dacotah Cotton Mill and a member of Second United Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hulin Doster Harper. Surviving are two sons, David Neil Harper and his wife, Nova, and Kim Doster Harper and his wife, Lavenia, all of Lexington; a daughter, Barbara Jones and her husband, Ralph, of Lexington; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lloyd Weaver, Ronnie Weaver and Bobby Weaver, all of Lexington; and three sisters, Georgia Seabolt, Guelda Tetter and Lillian White, all of Lexington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
