Kathleen Yountz Pickle, 88, of College Park, died Tuesday, December 7, 2010, at Abbotts Creek Nursing Center.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 9, 2010, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pickle was born March 12, 1922, in Davidson County, to Roscoe Henry Yountz and Mary Hill Yountz. She had been employed with United Furniture Company and was a member of Freedom Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Pickle; sons, Joe Ray Pickle and Webster Pickel; a daughter-in-law, Vicky Pickle; and sisters, Ora Berrier and Ethel Thomason.
Surviving are a son, Donald Pickle of Lexington; daughters-in-law, Peggy Hedrick Pickle and Sue Pickel; grandchildren, Peggy P. Penninger and husband, Wayne, Tracy P. Hyatt and husband, Johnny, and Richard D. Pickel; great-grandchildren, Austin Penninger, Alexis Penninger, Candace Hyatt, Brittany Hyatt and Tabitha Hyatt; and sister, Nellie Yountz Stafford of Lexington.
